Edna Nichols Handy, age 80, of Rocky Mount, went to be with her Lord Thursday, April 15, 2021. She was preceded in death by eight siblings; and her father and mother, Thurman and Victoria Nichols. Surviving are her three sons, Elmer, Timothy (Betty, "her only daughter") and Ed; a very special niece, Catherine "Sissy" Wood; three grandchildren, Matthew (Jessie), Sara (J.W.), and Donnie; two great-grandchildren, Reid and Ryann; three sisters, Bessie Peters (Eugene), Glendola Midkiff, and Della Price; one brother, Bud Nichols (Shelby Jean); in-laws, Cecil and Elaine Handy, Kenneth and Linda Handy, and Andrew Green; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Carilion Hospice for their wonderful care and concern.
