Mrs Mary Shawler, wife of C.L. Shawler, died at her home on Rolling Fork on Tues. Oct 3. Was born Sept 2, 1830, the daughter of Jno Troutman. Married Oct 26, 1848 to Capt. Lee Harned, who fell in the battle of Shiloh, leaving her with 6 children: Eliza & Len Harned of western states, Ben Harned, Lee Harned, Mrs Logan Beeler & Mrs Curtis Miller. On September 8, 1864 she married Colmore L. Shawler. Three children to this union: Mrs. L.L. Harned, Mrs Frank Simpson and William Shawler. Burial in Younger Creek Church Cem.
