Ekola, Sandra G. 9/23/1939 - 4/9/2016 Gobles Passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Kalamazoo. Sandra was born September 23, 1939 in Gobles, the daughter of William and Virginia Stech and had lived in the area the majority of her life. She was a longtime member of the Lions Club and loved working in her flower gardens. She was always at the door to greet folks with a smile, hug and a kiss. Sandra was a 20 year Navy wife and retired from the US Postal Service after over 21 years of dedicated service serving as a forwarding clerk. She also volunteered with many Boys and Girl Scout activities and served as Mrs. Clause for several community Christmas events. Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Allen; 2 sons, Timothy (Marla) of Okemos, MI and David of Gobles; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Ekola of Napierville, IL; grandchildren, Nathan (Keli) Ekola, Ashley (Doug) MacKay, Dallen and David; a great grandson, Benjamin Ekola. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Ekola.
