Lemuel Francis Agee was born January 24, 1856, in Osage County.
He was united in marriage to Miss Palona F. Wills October 25, 1875. To this
union five children were born, Mrs. Gertie Milburn of Olean, Lawrence Agee
of Russellville, Mo., Mrs. Emma Hill of California, Mo., Oliver Agee,
address unknown, and James Leslie Agee who preceded him 45 years ago. His
wife preceded him in death Nov. 23, 1913. Besides his children he leaves
one brother and one sister, F.W. Agee of Blain, Wash., and Mrs. Bell Mathews
of near Hope, Mo. He leaves 12 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Agee professed faith I Christ at the age of 29 years of age
and united with the Green Ridge Baptist Church. Later in life he
transferred his membership to the Olean Baptist Church where he was a member
at the time of his death, being 81 years, 5 months, and 21 days of age.

For 52 years he walked with God until the summons came for him
to come up higher. It can be truly said of him that he was a good man, and
he will be missed as a faithful servant of Christ in the home, church and
community, and as a counsel of a Deacon for more than 40 years. In his
passing he will be missed, for he is resting from his labors and his works
do follow him. He will be greatly missed but in our memory he will live
forever.
