Laura Matilda Greenfield was the daughter of Richard Greenfield 1792 and Hannah L Carpenter.

Her parents lived in Hamilton and Saratoga counties in New York. She married George Herman Rich, son of Rufus Rich and Saloma Gillett, in Edinburg, Saratoga, New York on September 14, 1851. The couple lived in Scriba and Albion, Oswego, New York. They had 5 children, one of home died early.

By 1870 the family moved to Penn, Sullivan, Missouri close to where his brothers Marcus and Demetrius had moved.

Children:

Ellen M "Nellie" 1853, married William Fletcher Campbell, lived in Little Laramie River, Albany, Wyoming. One child.

Anna Georgia 1854, married David Watt McDole, lived in Hebron, Larimer, Colorado, one child.

William Rufus 1856, married Cristina Penny, lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Three children.

Frank 1863, died in 1880, buried in this cemetery.

There was another unknown child who died at a young age.
