Denman Leonard "Bill" Bailey Sr., 86, a long-time resident of Pensacola, FL, passed away October 19, 2007, in Vista, CA, with his daughter Linda at his side.
A veteran of WWII, Denman retired in 1970 from the Escambia County Sheriff's Department as Superintendent of Jails.
Bill Bailey is going home to join wife, Mary Jane Bailey, and daughter Arlene Walker (Freddie), who preceded him in death.
In addition to Linda Perkins (Charles) of Oceanside, CA, Denman is survived by sons, Raymond Bailey (Hazel) and Leonard Bailey Jr.; and daughters, Alice Faye Bailey (all of Pensacola), and Diane Bailey of Rhode Island; as well as many beloved grand and great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.
Viewing will be at the Trahan Mortuary's Chapel in Pensacola from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2007.
Internment to follow at 1:15 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery.
