MRS. SILAS COOLEN
Mrs. Silas Coolen died at her home eight and one half miles southwest of Pawnee City, Sunday afternoon, July 6, 1913. Minnie Alice Atkins was born in Johnson county, Kans., March 6, 1875. She was united in marriage to Silas H. Coolen Oct. 28, 1906. To this union four sons were born, two of whom survive her. She is also survived by her husband, a father, three sisters and many other relatives who mourn her loss.
Mrs. Coolen united with the Christian church at the age of eighteen and has endeavored to live a Christian life. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and respected by all who knew her. Mrs. Coolen departed this life July 6, 1913, at the age of thirty-eight years and four months.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10:00, a.m., at the Pleasant Valley Church, the Rev. Chas. Foster officiating. Interment took place in the Pleasant Valley cemetery.
