Leon Martin, son of the late Frederick Martin and Annie Kate Webb-Martin-Simmons, was born in Abington, Pennsylvania on June 23, 1953. He departed this life on Thursday, October 6, 2005.

As a child, Leon was an avid baseball player. He played on several Little League Baseball teams.

Educated in the Bensalem Township School District, Leon attended Bensalem High School.

After high school, Leon was employed by Strick Trailers, 3M Corporation and Campbell's Moving and Storage.

Leon leaves to rejoice in his "homegoing": his loving wife Patricia Hill-Martin; his two daughters, Tameka Martin and Shante Martin; five grandsons, Ramon Martin, Andre Sams, Jr. Rajahan Sams, Ricky Sams and Kurtis Martin; brothers Frederick Martin, Lewis Martin, Rodney Simmons, John Simmons, Vincent Simmons, Victor Simmons and Michael Simmons; sisters, Barbara Martin, Renee Simmons, Wanda Simmons and Rose Simmons; in-laws, Paula and Henry Aldridge, Tracy Feliciano, Danny Lee, Marchanda Franks, Doris Simmons, Gladys Murphy and Cathy Brewington; family friends, Eric Dugan, Kurtis Calhoun, Jennyfer Prather, Maria Fine and Henry "Rog" Mears; best friends, Tony Corbin and Terrence Schoolfield; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
