Helen E. Davis, age 94, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at The Waterford Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services for Helen will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Joshua Pegram will officiate the service. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM. Burial will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids. The family asks those attending to please wear a face mask or covering.

Helen was born on April 8, 1926 in Stanley, North Dakota to the late Thorlief and Ella (Enger) Olson. She married Wayne Davis on August 2, 1947 in Wisconsin Rapids. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1995. Prior to her marriage to Wayne, she worked in a clothing factory before becoming a homemaker and raising her family.

Helen's hobbies included playing cards, visiting with family and friends, dancing, gardening, arts and crafts, completing word search puzzles and riding in the sidecar on Wayne's motorcycle. She also enjoyed all of the family time spent up north at the family cabin in Phillips and taking their RV on winter trips to Arizona and Texas. She was a big fan of NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace.

Helen is survived by her children Bonnie Czappa of Wisconsin Rapids, Donna (Al) Davis-Firkus of Wisconsin Rapids and John (Shirley) Davis of Queen Creek, AZ, grandchildren Danny (Beth) Shearer of Wisconsin Rapids, Christie (Ron) Greiner of Rudolph, Kevin (Robyn) Czappa of Waunakee, Stacy (Korey) Olds of Mesa, AZ and Shane (Shelly) Davis of Gilbert, AZ, great-grandchildren Waylon Shearer, Shannon Greiner, Kori Greiner, Marek Czappa, Keaton Czappa, Denver Schmidt, Marisa Schmidt, Rio Davis, Lexi Davis and Logan Davis, great-great grandchild Easton Featherston. She is further survived by her brother Arne Olson of Virginia and sisters Ilene Tucker of Whitewater and Betty Krueger of Rudolph.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Wayne, sisters Doris White and Agnes Klafka, brother Bill Olson, step-granddaughter Kim Firkus and Great-grandson Devin Greiner.

Helen's family would like to thank the staffs of The Waterford and Heartland Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Helen.

Special thanks to Linda (White) Binnebose for all of her visits and time spent with Helen while she still resided at her home.
