J. W. ABBOTT OBITUARY
James Wesley Abbott was born March 10. 1851 in Trimble County, Kentucky and departed this life in Glenwood, April 17, 1911, aged 60 years, 1 month, and 7 days.
He was married to Miss Mary Murphy in Newcastle, Kentucky, June 25, 1876. To this union were born 4 sons and 4 daughters.
He came to Mills County 23 years ago, and located in Glenwood, wirer he has since resided, with the exception of two years, when he lived at Strahan.
He is survived by his wife and eight children, and all were present at the funeral except the son, Louis, who belongs to the U. S. Navy, and his whereabouts at this time is unknown.
The other children are Mrs. Myrtle Anderson of Red Oak, James and William of Sargents Bluff, Nebraska, Essie of Omaha, and Mrs. Jasper Leet, Florence, and Nelson of Glenwood.
The funeral was conducted from the home on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. W. N. Graves of the Methodist Church.

James Abbott died Sunday night at his home in Glenwood, one block west of the square. The funeral will be held today, Tuesday, at 10 o'clock from the house. Death was due to all stones, or to some similar trouble. He was about 50 years of age and came here from Kentucky about twenty years ago. Mrs. Abbott is the sister of J. T. and J. W. Murphy.
