A graveside service for Elizabeth "Beth" Franks, 65, of Portales will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 8, 2021, in the Portales Cemetery with James Hancock officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be James Saniger, Andrew Saniger, Brody Saniger, Robert Rowan, George Rowan, Bill Coleman, Brandon Herrington, Tom McKee and Tom McCloud.

Elizabeth "Beth" Dean (Elliott) Franks passed away on April 2, 2021, in Portales. She was born in Ysleta, TX on March 24, 1956 to the home of Raymond and Diane Elliott. She grew up in Clint, TX and moved to Portales, NM her senior year. She graduated from Portales High School in 1973. She attended ENMU where she met love of her life Tommy Franks who she married in November of 1975. They later adopted their daughters in 1981 and 1993. Beth had various jobs throughout her life such as a candy striper and in home health care. Beth was an avid quilter and enjoyed hand quilting blankets and art quilting. She was a member of different quilter guilds and for a time taught quilting classes at ENMU. She was a kind soul and always willing to help others out. Beth loved to volunteer for service projects and often helped with meals on wheels. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She instilled a strong sense of helping others in her two daughters.

Beth is survived by her mother, Diane Elliott of Clovis, NM; daughters, Leiann Saniger and husband James of Maryville, TN and Danielle Franks of Portales, NM; grandchildren, Andrew, Emma, Paisley, Brody, Hadley, and Oliver of Maryville, TN; sisters Vicki Herrington of Afton, OK, Carol Coleman and husband Bill of Clovis, NM, and Bettiruth Mckee and husband Tom of Coleman, AB CA; sisters and brothers in law; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tommy Franks and father Raymond Elliott.
