Paul A. Branz 75 of rural Odell, IL passed away Saturday April 3, 2021 at 9:12PM at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL.
Paul or "Paulie" as many called him, was born on January 9, 1946 in Streator, IL a son of Anthony J. and Margaret VonQualen (Green) Branz. He married Karen Shane on June 6, 1970 in Pontiac, IL. She survives in rural Odell, IL. Also surviving are three children: Martha (Joe) Dittmer of Pontiac, IL., Anthony J. "Tony" (Dany) Branz of Honolulu, HI and Autumn (Dan) Davis of Pontiac, IL; three grandchildren: Joseph Bellot, Jacob Davis and Harper Davis. Paul was preceded in death by one brother: Roger Branz.
Paul was retired, formerly employed by Caterpillar in Pontiac and was retired from farming. He served our country patriotically in the Army National Guard from 1969-1973. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Streator, IL.
He was one of a kind, a character, had a lively spirit and will be missed by many. He also loved his family fishing trips to Chetek, Wisconsin.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday April 18, 2021 at 3:00PM at Grace Community Church, Streator, IL with Pastor Charles Giacinto officiating.
Private family inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
