Jack Dewey Cagle, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in hospice at Newton, Catawba County.

He was born on January 2, 1937 in Cherokee County, NC to the late Anita Thompson Luther.

He was also preceded by his grandson, Michael Victor Shull; brothers, James Edward Cagle and Roy Cagle.

He was a PFC in the Army during the Korea War then worked his entire life in the transportation industry.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Linda Gail Ratcliffe Cagle; daughters, Josee (Cliff) Shull, Michelle Renee Jordan and Jackie Lynn (Wes) Ward; brother, Bobby Cagle; sister, Janice Cagle Phelps; mother to his daughters, Nelly Germaine Steines.

There will be no service. His ashes were interred along with his poodle, Midnight, on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain. NC.

He is under the care of Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations.
