William T. Smeltzer of Elizabethtown took God's hand on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 9:07 am at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown at the age of 89. He was the husband of the late Patricia F. (Scott) Smeltzer who entered God's care on September 4, 2007. Bill was born in Collinsville on January 24, 1932, and was the son of the late Howard W. and Elsie (Stewart) Smeltzer. He graduated from Red Lion High School Class of 1949. Bill was the owner and operator of Smeltzer Brothers Ford in Red Lion for many years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Friendship Lodge #663 Free and Accepted Masons of Fawn Grove, Harrisburg Consistory, Shriners, Highlanders Bagpipers, and the Elks. He enjoyed hunting, dancing, golf, and having fun. Bill was a life member of New Harmony Presbyterian Church in Brogue. He leaves his son, Thomas S. Smeltzer of White Hall, MD, and his wife Starr. Bill was the grandfather of Jessica F. Smeltzer of Ewa Beach, HI, and her husband Matthew Demask. He also has several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Paul Smeltzer, Karl Smeltzer, and Viola Clark. There will be no viewing. A Service of Honor and Praise for Bill will be private. Burial will be at New Harmony Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
