Melody Lynn Easter, 65, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on July 16, 2017, in Lillington, North Carolina, due to natural causes.
Melody was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on November 4, 1951 to Richard and Barbara Easter.
Melody married John Hansel in 1969; they were married until 1970. She then married Richard Young III in October 1974; they were married until April 1979. In July 1981, she married Bobby Gooch; they were married until August 1982. Her final marriage was to Jerry Walters on June 6, 1986; they were married until May 29, 1997.
Melody worked as a title clerk for Nueces County Courthouse for 25 years. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the San Antonio Spurs, and Cher. In her spare time, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the lake or river, and "hanging out with her buds." Those that knew her understand her values of enjoying life and living it in the manner she wanted. She was always willing to help a friend in need or tell a funny joke to lighten the mood.
She is survived by one niece, two nephews, one sister, and other family and friends.
Melody is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Barbara Easter, and her sister, Karen Olsovsky.
The graveside service will be held August 5, 2017 at Seaside Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Seaside Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, TX.
