Roy B. Troxell

Roy B. Troxell, 77, of Anderson, died April 28, 2001, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born June 10, 1923, in Monticello, Ky. He moved to Anderson 25 years ago from Henry County.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served his country during World War ll.
He was a cement finisher/construction worker and a member of the Contractors Union Local 92.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Thelma (Calender) Troxell of Anderson; four children, Kermit (wife, Jennie) Troxell of Markleville, Gary (wife, Phyllis) Troxell of Mooreland, and Brad (wife, Debra) Troxell and Patty (husband, Billy) Cooper, all of Anderson; eight sisters and brothers, Pearl Troxell and Ina Sexton, both of Monticello, Ky., Grace
Purdue of Hawaii, Zora Troxell of Tennessee, Claude Troxell of Florida, Junior Troxell of Tennessee, Ted Troxell of Kentucky and Alfred Troxell of Monticello, Ky.; 11 grandchildren, Kristy (Coble) Clevenger of Indianapolis, Misty (Schunn) Clevenger and Erie Troxell, both of Anderson, Kevin Troxell and Lora K. (Coffey) Troxell, both of New Castle, Justin B. Troxell, Tiffany Cooper, Samantha Cooper and Elizabeth Smitherman, all of Anderson, Julie Garringer of Summitville and Keith Troxell of Pendleton; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Troxell and Molly (Daniel) Troxell; three brothers, Joe Troxell, Ernest Troxell and Robert Troxell; and a sister, Frances Troxell.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Sonnen.
Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the South Chapel
