Ruby was the daughter of John Calvin and Maude Gilley (Stewart) Davis. She married J.L. Bellamy on 16 Dec 1944, at the Naval Chapel, Anacostia, D.C. After 1950, Ruby and J.L. moved back to Kingsport, Tennessee and spent the remainder of their life in that area.

• KINGSPORT - Ruby D. Bellamy of Kingsport went to her heavenly home Monday, October 9, 2017 with her family by her side.
She was proud to have been a member of First Baptist Church in Kingsport since 1936.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Bellamy; son, Rodney Bellamy; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. (Maude) Davis; and four brothers and sisters all of Orlando, Florida.
Ruby is survived by son, Mark Bellamy and wife, Athelia; daughter, Judy Dingus and husband, Bob; two grandchildren, Brad Dingus and Jennifer Fields; and one great-grandchild, Dawson Fields, all of Kingsport.
A private graveside service was held.
