William Henry Davis, an old time resident of Boone and for many years a popular railroad man, died at his home, 620 Fifth street, at 9:00 o'clock Wednesday morning after a two weeks illness with a complication of diseases. The funeral was held from the home at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A.H. Collins, burial in Linwood. Deceased was born in New York October 13, 1851 and was in his fifty sixth year at the time of his death. He leaves a widow and six children, Dan, Frank, Etta, Eva, Gertrude and Ruth to mourn his death and to who is extended the earnest sympathy of a wide circle of friends.
