News was received in this city yesterday from Bradford, Pa., of the death there of Frederick Humbert, a son of the late Frederick Humbert, a well-known furniture dealer here. Mr. Humbert died Monday, aged 52 years. Mr. Humbert left Syracuse many years ago. The remains were sent to this city at 3:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon and private funeral services will be held this afternoon at the home of his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Humbert, at No. 707 University avenue. Albert B., C. Edward and John L. Humbert, comprising the firm of F. Humbert's Sons, are brothers. Two sisters also survive. A dispatch to The Post-Standard from Bradford said that Mr. Humbert was found dead in his room. He had been suffering of late from Bright's disease and this is thought to have caused his death. The dispatch said that for some time past Mr. Humbert had been a hotel porter, although a brother said last night that he had been working for an oil firm. Mr. Humbert was formerly well to do.
