Richard is survived by his children: Roger L. Bollman and wife, Virginia (Whitsel) Bollman, of Hollidaysburg; Debra A. Dey and husband, Steve Dey, of Altoona; Tom E. Bollman and wife, Sue (Eckenrod) Bollman, of Lakemont; Margaret "Peg" Blackie and husband, Gearge Blackie, of Altoona; and a brother, Marlin "Pete" Bollman and wife, Dorothy, of Everett. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many loving great, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in passing by two sisters, Shirley J. Bollman and an infant sister; and six brothers: Billy, Paul, Albert, Melvin, Bobby and Vernon Bollman.
After attending school, he worked at New Enterprise Stone and Lime where he drove truck for four years. Richard joined the United States Army in January of 1953 where he served as part of the Korean Military Advisory Group. He helped to train and provide logistic support for the Republic of Korea Army. Upon returning home from the service, Richard worked as a head mechanic for many years for PennDOT until his retirement. Richard enjoyed using the equipment while working on the farm and took great pride in it. He also loved spending time sitting on the porch with his wife.
Burial held at Ritchey's Cemetery, Everett.
