David Ross Barnes was born February 20, 1966 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Roland and Eunice (Oskey) Barnes. He has lived in the Stacy area his entire life. On August 13, 1988 David married Rhonda Beckman at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti. David worked as a Building Service Lead at Cambridge Medical Center. He was a dedicated employee and was proud to work there for over 25 years. One of his greatest enjoyments in life was his abundant love for his grandchildren. In addition to being the best grandpa in the world, he liked going to his cabin in Cameron, WI where he cruised on his pontoon and fished. David was a scrap metal enthusiast and he took great joy in watching the Vikings at his dear friend Ron's house. His other hobbies included a garden where he grew fresh tomatoes and made salsa and deer hunting.
David passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his home at the age of 51 years, 6 months and 20 days. He was preceded in death by his special friend, Angie Pankan and sister-in-law, Leahann Rasmussen.
David is survived by his wife, Rhonda; daughters, Jessica (Steve) Wald of Andover, Brandy (Jeremy) Johnson of Isanti, Kelly Barnes of Stacy; parents Roland and Eunice Barnes of Stacy; brothers, Dan Barnes of Isanti, Gary Barnes of Stacy, Larry Barnes of Stacy and John (Cindy) Barnes of Barnum; sisters, Rolanda (Steve Hagness) Barnes of Eau Claire, WI and Ronna (Todd) Rudquist of Stacy; grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and Natalie Wald and Harper Johnson; parents-in-law, Terry (Diane) Beckman; sisters-in-law, Lindsey Pearson, Jennifer Demars; brother-in-law, Ross Beckman and many other relatives and friends.
