Charles Leo Stringer, 44, of Bloomington, died Thursday at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Born July 21, 1963, in Anderson, he was the son of Charles and Mary Stringer.

He was manager of information systems at the Center for Behavioral Health. He also worked for UITS (formerly UCS) and Pizza Express. He founded Brit-Iron.org in 1993, an interactive e-mail list for British motorcycle enthusiasts, which helped to spur the formation of the successful Guggenheim exhibit "The Art of the Motorcycle."

Survivors include his life partner, Suzanne O'Connell of Bloomington; his family, Karen Stringer Bernadette Csanaky of New Buffalo, MI, Kathy and Steve Hagensieker of Anderson, Barb and Joe Harris, and Gail and Dave Roberson, all of Lafayette, Eric and Amy Garrison, Karl and Lil Garrison, and Dave and Beth Curry, all of Indianapolis; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel. After the service, a reception will be held at 3:30 p.m. at KRC Catering and Banquets in Bloomington.

Private graveside services will be held at Concord Cemetery in Lafayette.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Brown County Humane Society or Monroe County Humane Association.
