George E. Rood, of 46 Pearl Street, Meriden, formerly of Hartford, died Thursday at his home. Born in West Hartford, a son of the late Charles Rood and Lilla (French) Rood, he leaves a son, J. Richmond Rood, and a daughter, Elizabeth Rood of Meriden; two sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Florence of Hartford and Mrs. Clara L. Cluff of Rochester, N.Y.; and a granddaughter, Joan Rood of Meriden. The funeral will be held today at 2:30 p. m. at his home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden.
