"Adolph W. Berghoff. Requiem high mass for Mr. Berghoff at 10 a. m. Saturday in St. Leo's Church, preceded by prayers at 9:30 o'clock in the home, 1719 W. Grand Blvd., where he died Thursday.

Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Born in Germany 60 years ago, Mr. Berghoff had lived In Detroit 45 years. A branch manager for the Kroger Grocery & Baking Co., he was widely known in the retail grocery trade, having been in that business 40 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society at St. Leo's Church and had been a member of the West Warren Residents' Association 30 years. Surviving four daughters, Louise C., Elsie A., Sister Angelica, S. C, of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Marie A. Kelley." From the Detroit Free Press, May 28, 1938, page 19
