Erastus F. Warren was buried on the banks of the Arkansas River.

From a letter written by Rease Allen to Melissa Warren [sister of Erastus & Wesley] 13 Mar 1863.
"Heard of Wesley's death. When Erastus was buried it was raining and he [Wesley] wanted to go out to see him buried but I thought it would be best for him to stay. … he [Erastus] was buried with his pants and socks and his Blews and he had on to shirts and he was roald up in his blanket and put in his coffin. The coffin was made of pine boards. He [Erastus] had a heavy set of whiskers."
