Margaret Jean Freeman Jones, 83, of Kershaw, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Born in Kershaw on April 13, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Burrell and Allie Hopkins Horton, and the wife of the late Joe Freeman. Mrs. Jones was a devoted member of House of Prayer with Open Arms in Kershaw. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family, participating in church activities, and she loved her dog, Spot.

She is survived by her sons, Joey Freeman (Sandra), and Keith Freeman (Shirley), both of Kershaw; siblings, Willie "Pete" Horton and Geneva Davis; as well as 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and her teddy bear, Wayne Hall.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Freeman; sisters, Lola Watts and Evelyn Watts; and her great-great-granddaughter, Annette Logan.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at House of Prayer with Open Arms, officiated by Rev. Donald Barrett. Burial will follow in Boonetown Cemetery, Kershaw, SC.
