Homer Blevins, age 86 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late James and Ola Blevins.

Homer was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church for many years, a Veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Dayton #147 Masonic Lodge and Valley of Dayton Scottish Rites in Dayton, Ohio for over 50 years. He was a plant manager for the Sunshine Biscuit Company in Dayton, Ohio and the Husman Snack Foods in Cincinnati, Ohio for many years.

Homer enjoyed being outdoors and working with the Boy Scouts of Oneida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Grace Blevins; one brother Tony Blevins; grandparents: Shadrack and Polly Blevins and Crawford and Mary Blevins.

Homer is survived by his loving and caring wife of 65 years Marie Blevins; one brother Harold Blevins and wife Dianne; many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Blevins family on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Philip Kazee officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida.

With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.
