Maple City Man Dies
A.W. Bailey, 55, Passes Away In Winfield Hospital.
Alfred Wilson Bailey, 55, of Maple City, died in St. Mary's hospital in Winfield at 5:30 Sunday morning, following a surgical operation for cancer of the stomach. He had been ill for some time. Mr. Bailey was well known in this city and over Cowley county, as a prosperous farmer.
Surviving are the widow, one daughter and four sons, all of whom were at the bedside at the time of death. Four sisters and one brother also survive. Funeral services were in the church at Maple City at 2:30 this afternoon in charge of Rev. Johnson, of Grainola. Burial was in the Cemetery at Maple City. Grant Funeral Home was in charge of the case.
