Spencer Services
Funeral services for Mrs. Kate Spencer will be held at 2p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church of Baxter Springs, with the Rev. Harold E. Ball officiating. Burial will be in the Park Cemetery in Columbus. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this evening at the Ellsworth Funeral Home in Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Kate Spencer, 91, former Pittsburgh resident, died early Wednesday morning at her home in Baxter Springs. She had been ill for the past eight months.

Mrs. Spencer was born Aug. 1, 1877 near Maysville, MO. Her husband, Charles H. Spencer, died in 1945 in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Spencer moved to Baxter Springs in 1953. She was a member of the first Christian Church there.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Jones, 806 N. Elm; two sons, Harold Spencer, Baxter Springs, and Earl Spencer, Wichita; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Hughson, Galena, Mrs. Etta Beavers, Bartlesville, OK and Mrs. Fay Crain, Joplin; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be announced by the Ellsworth Funeral Home.
