Homer W. Ocker, 86, Cameron, died Friday, February 19, 1993, at his residence.
Mr. Ocker had been an insurance agent and had served on the board of directors of the Farmer's Mutual Insurance Company of Clinton County, Missouri. Then in 1953, he founded the Ocker Insurance Agency at Cameron, retiring in 1973.
Born at Nortonville, Kansas, he had lived at Cameron for the past 74 years. He was graduated from the Cameron High School, and attended Missouri Wesleyan College at Cameron and the University of Iowa.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Cameron, where he had served in various positions. He also had served on the Cameron Special road District Board.
In 1931, he married his wife, Lorraine, at North Platte, Nebraska. She died in 1986.
Surviving: a son, Charles of Cameron; a daughter, Marian Eulinger of California, Missouri; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday, at the United methodist Church, Cameron. The body has been cremated. Private family inurnment: at a later date, at the Cameron Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor. Arrangements: Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron.
