Elton Levirl McCammon ,80, of Coffeeville passed from this life on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Grenada Lake Medical Center in Grenada. Born on June 18, 1940 in Big Creek, he was brought into this world by the late Richard Thomas McCammon and Alma Lorine Redwine McCammon.

Elton married his beloved wife, Margie Sue Lollar, on May 25, 1958. The couple spent a timeless sixty two years together filled with many memories, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. He spent many seasons of his life laboring as carpenter that specialized in dry wall. Elton not only repaired and finished dry wall he also ran a commercial fishing business. He was a Baptist by faith, learning throughout his life about the many miraculous wonders of the Lord.

Elton leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence; wife, Margie Sue Lollar McCammon of Coffeeville; three sons: Billy McCammon of Gore Springs; David McCammon of Calhoun City; Robert (Janet) McCammon of Holly Springs; two daughters: Gelnda McCammon of Coffeeville; Tammy Farmer of Gore Springs; two brothers: Cecil Edwards of Houston; Richard “Buddy” McCammon of Bruce; three sisters: Louise Potts of Hickory Flat; Vivian Washington of Pontotoc; Minnie Brogdon of Memphis Tennessee; four grandchildren: Brenda King of Coffeeville, Angie Nichols of Coffeeville, Ashely( Gene) McCammon of Abbeville; Heather McCammon of Holly Springs; eight great grandchildren; two special great grandchildren: Andrew Aguilar and Alyssa King; host of nephews and nieces; two special nieces: Robin Laster and Glenda McCammon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Thomas McCammon and Alma Lorine Redwine McCammon; one son, Jimmy “ Bubba’ McCammon; one son-in-law, Jerry Farmer; two brothers: William McCammon and Jimmy Luther; one sister: Maebeele Fisk.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 4:00 PM- 9:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service remembering Elton’s life will take place on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Harvey Vance officiating. Tammy Farmer, Landon Shed Logan, Waylon Logan, Lane McCammon, Eddie ‘Squatch” McCammon, Brian Penick, Paul Watson, and Gene Winters will carry Elton to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery. Mickey Nichols and Paul Watson Jr will serve as honorary pallbearers.
