Mrs. W.E. Rodgers succumbs after six weeks illness

Last rites for Mrs. Annie Etta Wright Rodgers were conducted from the Mission Baptist Church Saturday, November 17. Rev. B. C. Nunn of Carrollton assisted by Rev. W.M. Hull officiated. Mrs. Rodgers died November 15 at the Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital after an illness of six weeks.

Mrs. Rodgers was born February 25, 1883 in Carroll County and married in 1906 to William Leslie Rodgers, who survives. She was a member of the McCarley Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband of Winona; two daughters, Mrs. J. C. Howard, McCarley and Mrs. Bill Elmore, Winona; four sons, Leslie Scott Rodgers, Winona, William Felix Rodgers, Greenwood, Wilburn Holmes Rodgers, Moss Point, Howard Sweatman Rodgers, Shaw; one brother, E. E. Wright of Jackson, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Curtis Pullen, Billy Costilow, John Kerr, Kirk Caffey, James E. Blaylock and Jimmy Alldread.
