She was born March 16, 1968, in Kingfisher to Mary Lou and Richard “Gene” Gaither.
Susan was the proud and wonderful mother of two boys: Ryan and Devin Bilyeu, ages 30 and 26, respectively.
Susan was a 1986 graduate of Kingfisher High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.
She married Paul Carlson on Sept. 23, 2006, in Edmond.
She worked for 33 years as a corporate buyer with Lifestyles Stores, Inc., in Edmond, purchasing lighting and furniture for houses throughout the state.
She always brightened her friends’ and family’s days, proudly bragging about her children.
She was a double-lung transplant recipient and a survivor of the rare terminal disease known as LAM.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; two children, Ryan (Nikki) and Devin (former daughter-in-law, Sabrina); mother, Mary Lou; two granddaughters, Ryleigh and Josephine; two brothers, Frank and Stephen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
Susan was preceded in death by her father.
