FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. REBECCA WALES

Mrs. Rebecca Wales, formerly a resident of Galveston, Tex., but for the past five years a resident of Spokane, died Sunday morning, September 3, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. E. A. Patrick, 32 Riverside avenue. Mrs. Wales was a prominent member of the General J. L. Reno Relief Corps, No. 14, and the Order of Washington, being the chaplain of both orders for several years.

While a resident of Galveston she was in the great hurricane and tidal wave which swept away her home, and shortly after the storm her husband did.

The funeral, which was held Monday afternoon, was beautifully conducted by Rev. Henry Rasmus and the Relief corps. The many tokens of love and sympathy were appreciated by the family. Prominent members of the G. A. R. acted as pall bearers.

Mrs. Wales leaves two daughters, Mrs. E. A. Patrick and Mrs. J. P. Benson, and two sons, Roy Wales and George Derr, and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss.
