Gwendolyn Cravens, 76, of Mertzon, Texas passed away from this life on March 16, 2021. Gwen was born April 12, 1944 in San Angelo, Texas to Hazel Ruth Farris Booth and Willard Farris. Gwen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She thoroughly enjoyed dancing to old time country music with her favorite cowboy, her husband. They also enjoyed to take train rides to travel across the country together. Living on their ranch outside of Mertzon, Texas was a love of hers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Don Booth, and brothers, Rick and Ed Farris. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Richie Cravens; a brother, Donald E. Booth and wife Yan; her sons, James May Jr., and wife Kellie, William Donald May and wife, Tracey, Richard Booth and wife Dolores, and Kenneth Kemp; her daughters; Kelly Campbell, Kim Cullison and husband Brent, Sherry Vincent and husband Jeremy, and a granddaughter she and Richie raised, Tiffany Campbell, as well as numerous other special grandchildren and great grandchildren. Too numerous to mention but to each, she held a special place in their hearts and made a lasting impact on their lives. Gwen is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and her special companion and pet, Sashi. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, March 19, 2021 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Mertzon Cemetery.
