Mangus married Bonnie Estella (Bray) Elrage on June 03, 1913. They had two children Mangus E "Buddy" Elrage & Ada Lee (Elrage) Sanders-Griswold. They lost Ada Lee at the age of 23, and then raised her three year old son Gayle Sanders, as their own.
They owned several working ranches in Arizona. Mostly up the river from Clifton, AZ.
