Stewart held various jobs; from a Glass Packer in his early years, to a Grocery Store Manager and then a Retail Merchant for Grocery Stores. He registered for draft but was never called due to some bodily injuries. Stewart remained single all his life. He passed away on Tuesday, the 27th of March 1962 in White Township, Indiana, Pennsylvania. His Funeral/Interment was held at the Blairsville Cemetery in Blairsville, Indiana, Pennsylvania on Friday, the 30th of March 1962.
