Ida May Gentry, daughter of the late Charles Benjamin and Mattie Gilmore Williams, was born near Newport Arkansas, January 25, 1920. Entered into eternal rest February 28th, 1973 at the age of fifty-three years. She died at her home in Kansas City from a heart attack.
On March 15, 1935, she was married in the state of Arkansas to Marion Rayburn Gentry, who survives her, as do two sons, Bill R Gentry, of Kansas City and Jerry Lee Gentry of West Plains. Also surviving are four grandchildren; three brothers and a sister, Leroy Williams, Newport, Arkansas, Zadie Miller, Loveland, Colorado, Troy G Williams, Collinsville, Oklahoma and Charles Williams of Newport Arkansas.
Preceding her in death are her parents and a son, Charles Earl Gentry, who died in 1940.
Ida May had been a member of Bethel Baptist Church since 1950.
Floyd Gentry, her bother in law, from St James, officiated the services.
Singers were Jean Campbell and Juna Kenslow, singing "In The Garden" with Gladys Sullivan on the organ.
Pallbearers were Wendall Hall, Noble Clark, Merlin Fite, Claude Roberson, Dwayne Roberson and Ellis Roberson.
