Mr Cherry died at 10:30am Tuedsay in St Johns Regional Health Center, Springfield. He was born April 23, 1943, in West Plains, the son of Henry Isasc and Doris Lorene Counts Cherry.
He received his education in the schools of West Plains, graduating with the class of 1961. On May 29, 1970 he was married at West Plains to Carolyn Sue Harris.
Mr Cherry was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966. He had been employed with the Crysler Corp. as an inspector. He had been of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Cherry, of the home; two children, Sheree Dale Cherry and Christopher Scott Cherry, both of the home, his parents, Mr & Mrs Henry Cherry, West Plains; one brother, Don Cherry, West Plains; one sister, Dorothy Bentley, Gamaliel, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Surface, Gayle Surface, Rod Hammond, Donnie Grisham, Roland Eades and Tommy Brown.
