Billy Charles Thomson was born November 28, 1929 in Paducah, Texas to Joseph Edward and Ena May (Alexander) Thomson. He passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021, with his loving wife and Norma's son Bob Butemeyer at his home in Duncan. He was 91.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 10:00 A.M. in the First Christian Church with Rev. Arnold Nelson officiating, assisted by Mike Collier. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Billy graduated from Duncan High School in 1947. He attended Cameron University, where he received a Bachelor's degree, and Oklahoma University. He was employed as a Chief Warrant Officer for the US Army. His Army career took him to many places including Asia, Thailand, and the Philipines. After the Army, he worked for Eckerds as a polygraph examiner. He then worked at Fort Sill as a criminal investigator. He loved to fly and built a hanger and two runways on his farm. One of the joys of living on his parents' farm was his Longhorns and horses ... which he named. He also loved to hunt deer and big game. Billy was an excellent artist, creating oil paintings, drawings, and sculptures. One

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph Thomson.

Billy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Norma Jean (Russell) Thomson; children: Cathy and Mike Collier of Spring, TX, Ronnie and Edith Thomson of Rock Hill, SC, Bob and Liezl Thomson of Oklahoma City; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Ronnie and Pat Thomson; and sister, Patty and Jerry Reece.
