Don Accola, age 83, of Plant City, Florida died on February 21, 2020 at Plant City Community Care Center. His wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Slater. Inurnment will be at the Slater Cemetery.
Donald Adrian Accola was born in Des Moines, Iowa on March 22, 1936, the son of Ralph and Joyce (Sheldahl) Accola. He graduated from Slater High School in 1954 and then attended Waldorf Junior College and Capital City College of Business. Don married Bette Jean Larson and the couple later divorced.
Don is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by four children; Dr. Kevin (Carolyn) Accola of Orlando, FL, Kim (Richard) Fowler of Arnold, MO, Brian (Karen) Accola of Grand Rapids, MI, Joanie (Larry) Snyder of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Louie (Kathy) Accola of Phoenix, Arizona; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
