Charlie Frank Abel, Jr., 60, former Montgomery County supervisor, a retired military man, and a farmer, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1988, in Winona, MS. The Duck Hill man was a member of the Baptist church.
Memorial services were conducted from Garner-Harper Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, on Jan. 11, 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Haynes Abel; four sons, Charlie Frank Abel, III, Scott Abel, Jeff Abel, and Kevin Abel; a daughter, Mrs. Annette Abel Kilburn; two brothers, William Manley Abel, and Walter Merritt Abel; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Abel Dobson.
Rev. Norris Corley, assisted by Rev. Johnny Hutchison, preached.
Burial was in Duck Hill Cemetery with military services.
