The remains rest at the Houghton Funeral home, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, with the Rev. George Goodrich, officiating and burial following in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Cotes was born April 12, 1871, on the farm on which he lived all of his life, the only son of Lewis and Esther Cotes. He is survived by two sons, David, Jr., of Ovid and O.(Oliver) Bruce of Royal Oak; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Agnes Lillian) Bensinger and Mrs. Chamberlain at whose home he died; and 12 grandchildren. Two daughters preceeded him in death (Clara Belle and Esther Gladness).
