Roland L Hallead ~ Ovid
Age 69, of 305 W. High St., Ovid, died Monday, August 17, 1987, at The Owosso Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at The Houghton Chapel - Osgood Funeral Home on Wed., Aug. 19, 1987 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Hansen officiating. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. He was the son of John and Althea (Holly) Hallead born in St. Johns on June 15, 1918, He was married to Charline Hay of Flint on Aug. 5, 1938 and resided most of his life in Ovid. Mr. Hallead was a member of the United Church of Ovid and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He worked as a carpenter and master mechanic, retiring from Chevrolet in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Charline, son Terry L. Hallead of Oxford, Mi., daughter Mrs. Bonita Matthies Pinkerton of Westminster, S, Carolina; three grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 3 brothers; Ralph Hallead of St. Johns, Lyle Hallead of Pickford, Mil, and Richard Hallead of Ovid. Memorials can be made to The American Heart Association.
