Warren G. Matherly, age 76, died Saturday, March 1, 1997 at his residence. Born October 5, 1920 in Washington County, he was the son of Gracie Simpson Matherly of Mackville and the late Raymond Matherly. He was a retired Plant Superintendent of Cudahy after 36 years, a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the Mackville Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Berniese Sims Matherly, Harrodsburg; two son, Michael D. Matherly and Warren Bennett Matherly, both of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Gerry Russell, Orene Matherly and Emmogene Matherly, all of Mackville; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Sterling Matherly. Funeral services were held Monday, March 3, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. David Hartman and Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
