Born in Avery on October 1, 1922, he was owner of the Allred Water Well Service Company. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. A member of the Optimist Club, he belonged to the Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Iva Jean Allred of Springtown; three daughters, Shirley Diane Edwards of Poolville, Murlene Barber of North Richland Hills and Judy Beverly of Waxahachie; two sisters, Zetty Chapman of Oklahoma and Judy Wilson of Oceanside, California; brother, Leroy Allred of Paris; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held 10 am Wednesday, September 8, at White's Funeral Chapel in Springtown with the Rev. Terry Chapman officiating. Burial followed at the Springtown Cemetery.
White's Funeral Home of Springtown was in charge of arrangements.
