Charles Junior Dove
WINNSBORO — Funeral services for Charles Junior Dove, age 80, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007, at Pope Funeral Home with burial to follow at his personal property, 177 Dove Lane, Ridgeway, SC. Heyward Christensen will conduct services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Pope Funeral Home.
Mr. Dove died Saturday, November 10, 2007. Son of the late John William and Anne Barfield Dove, he was born May 14, 1927, in Fairfield County, SC. Mr. Dove was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and a member of Ridgeway Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Dove is survived by daughter, Charlene Dove Lucas and her husband Robert Wayne Lucas of Ridgeway; sister, Louise Bairefoot of Columbia; two grandchildren, Robbie W. Lucas Jr. and Joy Lucas Weisner with her husband William Gregory Weisner, both of Conway, SC; and two great-grandchildren, William Christopher Weisner and Breanna Lynn Weisner of Conway. Additionally, Mr. Dove had numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Dove was preceded in death by grandson, Christopher Lucas.
The family wishes to thank Alda Cedreas and Southerncare Columbia for their kind and loving hospice care during Mr. Dove's illness.
