Mrs. Goodrich, 85, Longtime Anson Resident, Dies

Anson, May 29. -- Mrs. Fannie Goodrich, 85, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in Anson General Hospital after an illness of about two weeks.

Born Fannie Taylor, March 20, 1869, near Murfreesboro, Tenn., she moved with her family in 1881 to Dallas County. The family moved to Hill County in 1882 and there she was married to E.T. Goodrich on Jan. 27, 1887. Mrs. Goodrich and her husband moved to Jones County in 1900. Mr. Goodrich died in 1935 and Mrs. Goodrich had continued to live on their farm three miles south of Anson since then.

Funeral will be conducted in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church south of Anson at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Lawrence Funeral Home of Anson will be in charge of services. Officiating will be the Rev. Earl Duncan, pastor of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Fred Goodrich of Anson; a daughter, Mrs. C.P. Laughlin of Wink; one brother Tom Taylor of Seminole; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
