April 18, 1947 to March 8, 2021 I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race. Ken Boshart, 73 passed away peacefully Monday morning at Grand River Hospital. Leaving behind his cherished wife Helen (Zehr) Boshart, with whom he shared fifty years of marriage. Also mourning his loss are his children Wendy (Scott) Wagler and Scott (Juleen) Boshart. He will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren Brieanna, Tyson Wagler and Justin, Daniel, Joey Boshart. Survived by his siblings, Judy (John) Stewart, Karen (Brian) Lavery, Dave (Kathy) Boshart, and Linda (Eric) Kipfer. Fondly remembered by Gordon (Donna) Zehr and Ron (Ann Tanner) Zehr. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elroy and Willetta (Roth) Boshart and Helen's parents Norman and Edna (Lebold) Zehr, brother-in-law Lloyd Zehr and sister in law Vivian Zehr. Before retiring Ken worked as an Electrician and moved into Manufacturing Engineering. Working in Canada and the United States. Ken always was upgrading his education. Ken had many health challenges through the years, his strength and faith in God, support from family and friends helped him through. He was very grateful for the second chance his sister, Judy gave in the form of donating a kidney. In his retirement Ken enjoyed fixing things, being the "on call" electrician and assistant for his kids and working on his latest project building a hot rod. Ken enjoyed travelling and his many trips to BC. Ken's greatest love was for his wife, children and grandchildren. Many thanks to the medical team at Grand River Hospital, our neighbours, church family and friends for the love and support over the past 4 years as Ken's health was deteriorating. "Man cannot change the direction of the wind; he can only adjust his sails" There will be a private family service will take place at Steinmann Mennonite Church on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment will take place in the church cemetery following the services. Face masks and social distancing will be required. Family and Friends will be able to live stream the service by going to Ken's memorial page and in the obituary go to Click here to view service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Steinmann Mennonite Church would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be posted at www.markjutzifuneralhomes.ca Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg
