Mary Alice Couser, 92, of Ridgway, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, in Ferrell Hospital. Mrs. Couser was born Nov. 14, 1912, in Ridgway to the late Matt and Millie (Drone) Mills. She was married to Carl Couser, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and a grandmother. She was a faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway. She is survived by two sons, Ray (Lola) Couser and Don (Charlene) Couser, both of Ridgway; a brother, Bernard Mills of Ridgway; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Carl Robert Couser; four brothers, Jim, Richard, Earl and George Mills; and a sister, Martha Lee Mills. A funeral Mass was said 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at St. Joseph Church in Ridgway with Fr. Mark Stec officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
